The exhibition “Reggia Contemporanea” was inaugurated on December 6th on the first and second noble floor of Villa Reale in Monza.

Curated by the architect Renata Cristina Mazzantini, Reggia Contemporanea is a re-installation project and an exhibition itinerary winding through the rooms of Giuseppe Piermarini's architectural masterpiece, restored to its ancient splendor.

100 works by the major artists of the Republican period are presented along with furnishings and paintings from the Savoy and Habsburg periods and a selection of masterpieces of the Italian design, reviving the classical rigor of many areas of the Villa.

Among the selected pieces, two mirrors by Glas Italia: "Sturm und Drang" designed by Piero Lissoni and "Rokokò" designed by Nanda Vigo, respectively positioned in the rooms of the Prince of Naples Apartment and the Royal Apartments.

Glas Italia also created the site-specific installation "La Blancheur" by Chiara Dynys positioned in the antechamber of the Prince of Naples Apartment.
