NANDA VIGO mirrors exhibition

NANDA VIGO mirrors - opening on Thursday 4th March 2021 in Via Gorani 8 in Milan - is a deepening study on the more than twenty years long relationship between Architect Nanda Vigo (Milan, 1936/2020) and Glas Italia, the company founded by Marco and Roberto Arosio in the early 70s, under the name of “Glass Design Collection”, backed by the centenary glass manufacturing experience of the family glass factory.

On show the long story of the union between the "Glass Design Collection", as it was formerly known, and Nanda Vigo who immediately and enthusiastically took on the project, presenting each year innovative and often provocative products: tables, coffee tables, shelves, consoles and of course mirrors.

Made possible thanks to the availability of the Nanda Vigo Archive and Ernesto Sarappa, passionate collector of her furniture pieces, the exhibition displays a selection of the designer's most famous mirrors: from Andromeda (her first project for Glas Italia), to Holiday On Ice, up to mirrors still in the collection nowadays, such as Rokokò and Cosmos.

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue tracing back the fundamental stages of Nanda Vigo's collaboration with Glas Italia, with unpublished documents from the company archive.
